After an incredible journey of learning and growth, we publicly announced the winding down of operations at the Technology for Wildlife Foundation in June 2024.

Since our founding, we have been honoured to work alongside passionate individuals and organisations dedicated to environmental and wildlife conservation. We are deeply grateful to our donors, interns, volunteers, and the broader conservation community for their unwavering support and trust in our mission.

From the very beginning, our efforts at TfW have been driven by a profound commitment to creating meaningful impact through the technologies available to us. Over the years, we have prioritised sharing our findings, innovations, and insights widely, knowing that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are essential to amplifying conservation efforts.

To ensure this information reaches and benefits a wider audience, we encourage responsible use of our content.

Credit Guidelines

  1. Use Content As-Is
All content must be used in its original form, including captions, links, and any related media. Images should not be cropped or edited and should carry credit to the Photographer and TfW.

  2. Attribution
The top credit should read: © Author Name, Photographer Credit/Technology for Wildlife Foundation, or © Author and Photographer, for Technology for Wildlife Foundation. Ensure that the link to the original article on the TfW website is a ‘do-follow link to https://www.techforwildlife.com.
In case of collaborating partners mention the full name of the partner and credit equally. If your website's CMS does not allow this, you may place the hyperlink at the end of the article as described below in point 4.

  3. First Mention & Hyperlink
When referencing the resource or content for the first time, hyperlink it to the original article on the TfW website. For example, in an article about mangroves, link ‘mangroves are…’ back to the relevant TfW article. The underlined text should be a ‘do-follow’ link.

  4. End Credit
At the end of the article, include this attribution:
First published by Technology for Wildlife Foundation (TfW), a nonprofit with the mission to amplify conservation impact through the use of appropriate technology.
In instances of other collaborating partners mention the full name of the partner and credit equally as a statement, for example:
‘…The footage was part of a joint field survey by World Wide Fund For Nature India (WWF-India), Dakshin Foundation, and Technology for Wildlife Foundation (TfW) to study their near-shore aggregations. This collaborative monitoring effort was made possible with the invaluable support of the Odisha Forest Department and the Divisional Forest Officer, Berhampur Forest Division.’
If your CMS does not allow hyperlinking in the main body, you may include a ‘do-follow’ link to https://www.techforwildlife.com.

  5. Restrictions
Our content can be used on pages with ads, but it may not be placed behind a paywall.

  6. Social Media Credit

Please credit and tag TfW’s social media handles when sharing the resource across platforms.
